These requirements are implemented to assist Tow Rite Towing & Recovery in maintaining compliance with applicable Work Health and Safety obligations, site security requirements, insurance conditions and operational safety procedures. Tow Rite Towing & Recovery, as a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU), is required to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of workers, visitors and members of the public.
By entering this premises, all visitors acknowledge and agree to comply with these requirements and directions issued by Tow Rite Towing & Recovery staff.
Visitor Entry Requirements
All visitors, contractors, customers, insurers, assessors, recovery agents and members of the public entering the premises must:
- Sign in via the approved sign-in process or QR code prior to entry.
- Wear fully enclosed footwear while on site.
- Comply with all Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and safety directions.
- Follow all instructions issued by Tow Rite Towing & Recovery staff, management or authorised personnel.
- Observe all signage, restricted areas and exclusion zones.
- Remain within designated visitor areas unless otherwise authorised.
- Be accompanied by a staff member unless prior approval has been granted.
- Immediately report hazards, injuries, incidents or unsafe conditions to management.
- Conduct themselves in a safe and respectful manner at all times.
High visibility clothing and additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in operational areas as directed by management.
Site Hazards
Visitors acknowledge that this is an active towing, recovery and vehicle storage facility involving operational hazards, including but not limited to:
- moving vehicles and tow trucks;
- forklifts and mobile plant;
- damaged or unstable vehicles;
- vehicle recovery equipment;
- fuel, oil and battery hazards;
- electric vehicle and lithium-ion battery risks;
- slip, trip and crush hazards;
- loading and unloading operations; and
- emergency recovery activities.
Tow Rite Towing & Recovery implements these requirements to minimise risks to workers, visitors and the public so far as is reasonably practicable in accordance with Work Health and Safety obligations.
CCTV, Surveillance & Recording Notice
For safety, security, evidentiary, incident management, compliance and insurance purposes:
- CCTV surveillance operates throughout the premises and may record video and audio continuously.
- Tow Rite Towing & Recovery personnel may utilise body-worn cameras or other recording devices while carrying out operational duties.
- Vehicles, property, interactions and activities occurring on site may be recorded.
- By entering the premises, visitors acknowledge and consent to such monitoring and recording.
Unauthorised photography, filming or recording by visitors is prohibited unless prior written approval has been obtained from management.
Visitor Parking Requirements
- Park only in designated visitor parking areas as directed by staff.
- Keep all driveways, gates, emergency access routes and operational areas clear at all times.
- Comply with all site traffic controls, speed limits and parking directions.
- Comply with applicable strata by-laws and site parking restrictions.
Unauthorised or obstructing vehicles may be removed or towed at the owner's expense.
Children & Unauthorised Persons
Due to the operational hazards present within the towing depot:
- Children are strictly prohibited from entering operational areas.
- Unauthorised persons are not permitted within the depot or storage yard.
Emergency Procedures
In the event of an emergency:
- Follow all instructions from staff or emergency wardens immediately.
- Proceed calmly to the designated assembly point located at the main gate on Weir Road.
- Do not re-enter the premises until authorised to do so.
Right of Refusal
Tow Rite Towing & Recovery reserves the right to refuse entry, revoke access permissions or remove any person from the premises where management considers it necessary for safety, operational, security or compliance reasons.
